Open Question: how do I remove the smell of a burned-down house from knits?

I just lost pretty much everything when my house burned last week - everything I've knit, not to mention about $5,000 worth of yarn - for the last 30 years was in an unburneded part of the house, but there was a lot of smoke and everything I've tried so far to get the smell out has not worked and it's beginning to look like I'm going to have to get a BIIIG dumpster....any ideas besides Woolite? I've tried baking soda, lemon juice, ammonia, vinegar, various cleaners. Everything was stored either in plastic tubs or those big ZipLoc bags and nothing was melted - just what went through the plastic is what's in the yarn.
