Open Question: How to clean patten leather sandals?

I have white patten leather sandals that are only about a year old, but they're already staring to look worn and dirty. I have tried scrubbing them and cleaning them, but I just can't seem to get the dirt out of the white thread stitching. Any tricks or suggestions?

Open Question: If, on her first visit, your housekeeper said she was going to do a deep clean, what should you expect?

I have a 3 BR, 2.5 BA with living room, dining room, kitchen, long front hallway, upper staircase and upper hall. She asked my most important concerns and I told her I especially wanted extra attention paid to the 4 ceiling fans, I wanted my baseboards and chair rails wiped down, floors mopped, vacuumed, showers/tubs scrubbed and everything dusted. This is in preparation to sell a house - I have moved all of our knick-knacks so it's easy dusting so I am asking for the furnirture and the few remaining photos frames to be tended to. I walked her through the house to show her how much space there was. She told me she'd arrive between 8 and 8:30 and would probably take 4-5 hours at most. I was here for most of the time but ran short errands every now and then. I had to leave shortly after 12 to get my kids from their grandmothers. When I returned home, I did not expect her to be there but she was still there, packing her stuff into her car - it was 3 pm at that point - I honestly don't care how long she takes if I'm paying a flat fee, I just want the work done. But when you are there for over 6 hours, shouldn't most of this stuff have been done? She mentioned she'd just finished mopping and she had scrubbed the sink in the kitchen till it shined. After she left I walked through the house - nothing was dusted anywhere in the house, it did not appear the floors had been vacuumed - I thought the mopping looked great until I checked our living room and noticed she had not moved things around on the floor and there were still spots behind my husband's recliner and stuff was still along the baseboard. My air vents/filters (caked with dust) hadn't been touched. 2 of the four ceiling fans had been done. She mopped the lower bath but didn't clean the baseboard behind the toilet or directly behind the toilet (and you know how that can get - yuck). And my vanity is painted, and there was a very large mark on the front where my kids dribbled toothpaste - the mark is still there, she didn't wipe it down. She charged me $150 for her "work". She also had her 3 year old son with her - she said her mother in law is her childcare provider but she was called last minute to fill in at work for someone and couldn't help her. I feel terribly cheated by this, even though she seemed very eager and capable and clearly didn't appear to want to cheat me when we spoke in person last week. What do I do? I feel I got screwed but seeing the way she cleans I don't necessarily know if I want her back to do what wasn't completed. How would you handle it? Was I expecting too much?
