Open Question: i need to buy a washer and drier and thought about a pair or whirlpool frontloaders or samsung frontloaders?the thing is the whirlpool set are both steam and the samsung is only steam in the drier. so what i want to know is how often would you use the steam in the washer is the steam worth the money any help would be great. Open Question: How can i get a design out of my khaki shorts for school?i just bought some khaki shorts from walmart my school has a dress code so there can be any designs on them when i got home i just notice this design on the front its really lighlty shaded but its still able to be seen is there anyway i cant get the design out and just make the shorts plain khaki please help!! About a month ago my 2 year old got ahold of a bottle of lotion and poured the entire bottle into my dishwasher... and at the same time took the rinse aid cap and threw it below... anyway to clean the lotion i ran the dishwasher through about 8 times... and iv just been running the dishwasher without the rinse aid... But now my dishes are coming out like completely white on all my plastic and teflon... and i was thinking hard water but iv never seen hard water do dishes like this before... there completely white in some spots and it takes a little bit of scrubbing to get the white off, However the glass seems fine... Can hard water be that extreme and do you think running it with zero rinse aid could be causing this? Open Question: Help with washing machine weird smell?Last night I did some washing with a newish detergent which created a fair few suds. I have a top loading machine and some water leaked from underneath somewhere. Now whilst water has leaked plenty of times before when I have used the machine, the new thing last night was this horrible smell, not quite burning rubber not quite electrical, somewhere in between. Since then I turned of the power of the machine and have not used it since, we are moving house in several weeks so I don't really want to purchase a new one right away I would prefer to wait till we move, any ideas on why this smell is coming from my machine i.e. if you think it may be too many suds or anything like that would be very helpful. Open Question: What would you do..........?If you found a pipe in your house was covered in black moldy stuff, the pipe extends below the floorboard where you can't reach to clean, what do you do? Open Question: All 100% cotton shrink right?I bought these tanktops online and they just arrived today. The thing is it's pretty long and I want to shrink it. So, if I wash and dry it in hot water then it'll shrink right? Note, these were the lowest size too. I don't know why they are so long. And returning them is not a option.
