Open Question: Front loading washing machine, should we buy one?We have a top loading machine that is pretty much maintenance free at the moment. It works wonderful! But, we were in Best Buy today and saw that there is going to be an appliance rebate incentive coming up. We are thinking about taking advantage of it and purchasing a front loader. However, after looking at some of the posts on yahoo answers, I'm thinking that maybe we should just stick with the washer we have and be happy. The money savings on water, and energy sounds tempting, but I'm really not in the mood for more stress with another complicated high maintenance piece of equipment. It looks like people have a lot of trouble with smell, mold, leaking, etc. So my question is......if you have a front loader, do you love it and what's your experience been with it. If you like top loading machines better, tell me your opinions too. I'd like some input.
