Open Question: Cleaning dog hair off my carpet?

I adopted a pup last week. He sheds like crazy on my dark green carpet. I hate pulling out the big vacuum everyday. Is there something like a vacuum I can buy to clean my carpet up in between vacuums? Like a non plug in small vacuum? Thanks

Open Question: Tumble Dryer Venting problem?

I cannot vent my tumble dryer outside & I have heard that condenser boxes are no good. My water drainage pipe runs along the wall under the tumble dryer. Is it possible/safe to vent the tumble dryer into the drainage pipe? & if so, is their a pipe attachment that will fit a tumble dryer hose to a 40mm drainage pipe?

Open Question: Front load vs Top load washing machines HELP!!!!?

I have NEVER owned or operated a front load washing machine I have always had a top loader, my old top loader decided to commit suicide last week and we are currently moving. It now appears that I will have to stack my washing machine and dryer (or maybe wall mount the dryer) as the laundry has less space than my current house. So it looks like I may have to replace my washing machine with a front loader so I can stack if I choose not to wall-mount. So I want to know what it's like using a front loader compared to a top loader, whether it's worth my while to get one with at Least a 1000 rpm spin feature, how easy they are to keep clean, how they wash clothes and any other tips both positive and negative would be very highly regarded. Also, if anyone can recommend a brand too, I am currently looking at a Samsung brand and a Simpson brand please don't recommend Bosch or Miele, they are too expensive I am looking for something that is affordable but not nasty.

Open Question: How do I remove pet urine from sub flooring?

We have avery old carpet that has very old and new pet urine. I am getting laminate to replace the carpet. I have cleaned the carpet with everything and every method and replacement is my final solution. I don't want the new floor damaged so what can I use to clean the sub flooring so when the laminate goes down I don't have to worry about the animals revisiting their old spots?
