Will the glitter come out in the wash? What will it do to the washer? Open Question: How can I get old rust stains out of my dress shirts? Bleach?I have a couple of really nice dress shirts that were washed in a bad washer and dryer, and ended up with some orange-ish brown stains on the collars. Its been months and months now and I never did my research on how to get them out and unfortunately they have been washed regularly afterward. I recently read up on the lemon juice for rust but every example states right after the rust stain apply, I cant find anything on what to do for OLD stains. I only have 2 shirts I'm really trying to salvage. A light pink shirt with rust on the collar edges. As well as a white and light purple striped shirt with rust the collar as well. What can I do to to get these shirts fixed, I don't care about the color, I just love the fit and materials. Can I apply bleach in the wash to turn them white? Will strong bleach get the rust stains out?
