Open Question: my rug needs help. please.. how can i gently clean it?

u see.. my rug/carpet is HUGE and new.. but it smells stale and its a strooong smell.. im trying to do my work.. but the smell is like hurting my head.. i asked this question before.. but all i got was "open the window". what is a safe cleaner.. i can use to manually give this rug a cleaning. (without staning or ruining it). it kind of smells like a burnt sort of smell.. like how a broken vacuum smells. i just would like to know if therr is something i can buy or.. something to miz with water so i can get rid of some of this burnt smell. thankk you for your helpp!

i get metro water. how good is eureka forbes infinity model for water? the tds level is about 190. also what kind of electric socket is required for this model? 15 min or the normal socket connection?
