Open Question: How Do YOU Motivate Yourself To Do Heavy Duty Cleaning?Cleaning is my most despised activity...... right above paying bills, and root canals..... I have severe depression and anxiety and cleaning is something I avoid..... It then builds up til I'm overwhelmed to tears. I live alone in a tiny apt with WAY too much stuff (not crap, like a hoarder, but nice things I need to save for when I get a bigger place) Bad thing is, I have NO storage of any kind. Those of you who have suffered from depression KNOW what it's like to motivate yourself to do anything, never mind something you hate doing. Then, after you have managed the motivation, you look at the mess and the anxiety kicks in to where you want to give up before you begin; a vicious cycle. Any tips on facing the cleaning monster alone? I need to do something about it STAT! Also.... there's no extra money for things like storage bins and organizational tools.... :( Open Question: What would you use to clean up a room that has blood in it? Along with traces of DNA...smells...book research?I have a scene in the book I'm writing where blood has been freshly spilled in a room. I want to eliminate all traces of the blood along with all the scents (ie, DNA) blood leaves. Does bleach do this? Thanks in advance =) can't torch it it's the main setting of the story. =) Open Question: Rotten Egg Smell in finished basement.?Right now my husband, our two children and I are living at my mother in laws basement temporarily, However, since almost a week ago, I have been smelling a foul odor in the basement, and it hits you once you open the door, the problem is I can't pin-point exactly where the smell is coming from. The smell is strong in the cedar closet, and the stairs, but it seems that the smell is everywhere. There is no bathroom downstairs, or sink, and I have the baby's diaper pail empty. I have cleaned everything, almost obsessively to try to get rid of the smell. This really isn't my house so I am not sure what else to do, can anyone help, or have any ideas as to what it could be? Open Question: Does anyone know if I can use cold water only for my portable dishwasher? I have no hot water pressure.?I have a Kenmore Ultra-wash. It has various cycles. Just don't want to waste water trying out cold water if it doesn't work.
