But these apartments are greasy and filthy. I tried wiping it with a sponge but only some of it came off. I don't want to have to re-paint it. Any suggestions? Oh - and this was from a small grease fire in my kitchen. I just got a new Nike sweater that is pure white, except for a little black Nike swoosh on the right chest area. I got a dime size red stain (Big Red Soda) and one of those orange grease stain about the size of 4 quarters. It's a stain that won't come off by just putting it in the washer with detergent. I can't bleach it since the tag says "Do not bleach". My friend told me to take it to the dry cleaners, but I thought they just cleaned clothes that you can't put in the washer. They have been there for quite some time. I got most of it out using a hand sanitizer gel and cold water, but there is still a dark stain.
