Open Question: How do I get dried hairspray off the stuff in the bathroom?

My Mom uses about half of a can of hairspray every day. I'm the one that cleans the bathroom & its annoying to have to scrub the floor, toilet & vanity for an hour to get the dried hairspray off of everything. I was thinking that maybe if I let the hottest water run in the shower for 15 or 20 minutes before I start, the steam would loosen it up. Would this work? If not, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks =]

Open Question: How can I sanitize loads of laundry with colored items in it?

I know 3/4C of bleach will sanitize whites, but what can you use to sanitize colors? I'm asking because a member of the family recently had a staph infection. So far what I'm doing is washing loads with lots of detergent in hot water and drying them on hot also. Not the best thing for the fabrics, but that's all I've got for now.
