Open Question: How to get deodorant/sweat stains out of clothes?

I have some deodorant/sweat stains in the armpits of a few of my cotton shirts (gross I know). I already tried hand washing it by putting detergent directly on the stains and rubbing the fabric together and line drying the clothes, but I haven't got all the stains out. Anything that doesn't damage my clothes would be good, I appreciate any constructive help. Thanks!

Open Question: What to do with these Oil soaked sheets?

I was recently changing my engine oil and I had a HUGE spill....I didn't have any litter with me at the moment...so I used a large comforter to soak it up. I managed to get everything up off the concrete. But I still have these sheets, is there something I can do with them that doesn't involve the trash? I'm not really concerned about saving it, but just wanted an idea of what to do because of the engine oil...its a pollutant. What do you do with the greasy/oily water? The oil recycling facilities?
