Open Question: What is the best way to clean the bottom of an oven?

I spilled milk on the bottom of my oven and now it smokes when I try to use it...what is the best way to tackle the job? I HATE the self cleaner oven feature and am afraid it will smoke too much so I would rather not use it!

Open Question: I have some bathroom rugs that need disinfection. Would washing them by hand with vinegar disinfect them?

I've heard that using vinegar will help, but also that sprinkling baking soda on them and then vacuuming will help. Which is the more effective disinfectant? Is there a better way to disinfect bathroom rugs than this?

Open Question: How to wash cloth diapers with baking soda and vinegar?

I am wanting to use baking powder and vinegar to hopefully help my cloth diapers last longer. Do i just put the powder where the laundry soap would go and the vinegar where the fabric softener would go? What about borax? Would that be better than baking soda?
