It was in storage for about 18months and although we never had any problems with it before storage, since we took it out a couple of months ago it has had some problems. Basically, about 80% of the time the washing machine will get stuck on the rinse cycle and will start/stop for a few minutes before finally just stopping, with the machine still full of water. Sometimes it half-drains and gets stuck on spin cycle. When this happens, there is a humming sound, like the motor is still running, even when the machine is turned off at the button. We have to actually turn the power off at the wall outlet to stop the humming, then reset the machine to 'rinse' cycle to pick up where it left off. Sometimes this takes 4 efforts before the load actually completes properly! We can't really afford a new washing machine right now and have been quoted about $150-$170 for the machine to be repaired- so any help appreciated!
