Thanks Open Question: Is it possible to "repaint" shoes?I have a pair of pointy toe pumps that are white and I believe that they're leather, although I am not 100% sure. I have some weird brownish stripes on the shoes and when I tried removing them with soap and water, it won't come off. If I took the shoes to one of those places where they fix shoes, is there something they could put on the shoes that would either remove those stripes or if they could maybe "repaint" the shoes so that they're a nice, bright white again? The shoes are kind of old, but I can still wear them and look new other than for those stripes. Thanks. Open Question: how to get smell out of new/heavy rug/carpet?i got a new carpet/rug for my living room. but it smells burnt.. and the smell doesn't seem to go away.. HOW can i clean the smell without ruining the rug. do i just put some soap on a rag with hot water and scrub? i really need to do something.. i just dont want to ruin the rug. ps. the rug is too heavy to move or bring outside. any advice? Open Question: Help with bed bugs!!?So I live in an apartment building where I recently discovered there is a bed bug problem, I informed the super who assures me an exterminator is coming Tuesday morning. However I also found out the problem originated a floor below me in a man's apartment that was exterminated last week. I believe they will do 2-3 other units at the same time as mine. How can this be enough to rid the building of the infestation this time if it didn't work in the case downstairs? And also what actions should I take to ensure my furniture and belongings aren't exposed again?... Should I post flyers in the building informing other tenants as they may not recognize any bites they may have? Thankfully I'm moving out in a month but don't want to move the problem with me. Advice?
