Open Question: how do you get old lunch off schoolbooks? and more... Open Question: how do you get old lunch off schoolbooks? My sister left her old lunch in by book bag and now i have extremely smelly green slime that smells like it has been there for a month all over my schoolbooks! How the heck do I get it off? Open Question: Every time I bleach my clothes fall apart?I ruined two white shirts by bleaching them, and i'm not even sure what I did wrong. i used clorox bleach, and they were good quality shirts, both ralph lauren sport. the first one had a huge blue paint stain near the arm, so i actually soaked it for a few hours in a bucket of bleach and water (along with a few other white shirts), but that didn't help. i didn't understand why because before i would soak other white shirts, and they were pretty cheap too, in just bleach and the stains would come out. then i took a small bucket filled with only bleach and put the arm in it. after a few hours the stain was still there so i put it in water to soak and i came back to see that the arm was totally shredded. it looked like a rat had chewn it or something, there were cloth shreds in the bucket and the string fell apart. then the next time i took all my whites to the laundry machine, put in the detergent and then some bleach. i examined the clothes and the shirt had three medium sized holes in it, looking just like the other shirt. this was one of the shirts i soaked. and along with the first shirt, i put in a t-shirt i got from marshalls and that one had a huge hole and two smaller holes in it, and i didn't even wash that one. all i did was soak put bleach on it and soak it in water. i understand it has something to do with the bleach, but what am i doing wrong?? i used to do this before all the time, and even if putting raw bleach on a shirt wasn't the best idea, i didn't do that to the other too. does anyone have any idea what happened to them? similar experiences? and how do i use the bleach so it doesn't harm my clothes? Open Question: how to get a polyurethane stain out of clothes?!?!?i got some polyurethane splatters on a gray sweater today during wood shop, and my teacher told me i cant get it out, but i was jw if i can? i love this sweater, and im just hoping my teacher is wrong.... Open Question: How can you clean cat pee out of a purse?Help! My fiance's beloved cat peed on my purse! This is the second purse he has ruined this year. The first purse I simply threw away, but this purse was my favorite! It is made from black false leather. I am mostly concerned over the smell of the cat pee, not stains since the purse is black. The smell is on both the inside and the outside of the purse. (Unfortunately, I discovered the pee in the morning, so it had already dried!) Is there any way to save this purse? More Recent Articles
