Open Question: Can I dye 55% Linen, 45% Cotton pants?

I was given a really nice pair of wide leg trouser linen/cotton pants. They fit perfectly the only issue is that they're BRIGHT magenta. I was considering bleaching them but I feel that they'd then turn light pink. Is there anyway I can make them a color that just isn't magenta?!

Open Question: How can I get people to pick up after themselves?

I'm 20 and I live in a nice house with my mother, father and brother who's four years older than me. The house constantly gets dirty to epic proportions, not just like a few things here and there. I'll leave the house and come back to a wreck. I usually clean up the entire house to complete pristine conditions, only for the same thing to happen, and it's exhausting. I'm the youngest so why should I be the only one to care, its everyone's house! lol Does anyone have any possible tips to help promote a clean house, anything you use in your own house to help make cleaning up not so difficult? Anything would help greatly, and 10 points to the most help :)

Open Question: how to remove adhesive from trousers?

Bought a pair of black trousers and when I removed the 'size' markings (1" X 4") taped to the leg, it left the residue of the adhesive on the pants. How can I remove the adhesive?

Open Question: How do you get a scuff off of patent leather?

I have a white scuff on some designer navy blue patent leather heels and a red scuff on a very expensive yellow patent leather purse... I live in Savannah and the best person we have to do this in town well, quite frankly, sucks. Everytime he has done anything like dye my shoes he has dyed them a shade off and there were still drip marks on the shoes. So he is not an option.. Anyone have any DIY solutions that won't hurt the patent leather?
