Open Question: What questions will I be asked in a cleaning interview? and more... Open Question: What questions will I be asked in a cleaning interview?I am going to apply for a part time cleaning job with Maid2Clean in the evenings as I need to earn a bit of extra cash to pay for a new car I had to buy (old one went bang!) The Maid2Clean website says that they will interview me! Has anybody worked for Maid2Clean or any other cleaning and been interviewed? If so, what type of things will they ask me? I understand that all jobs require an interview but I have never had a cleaning interview! Any adivse would be appreciated. Thanks Open Question: How do I polish silver?I have a silver broach that was apparently damaged by prolonged exposure to the sun. How can I repair it? Open Question: flip flops- whats the best way to keep them from drying out?I have some great flip flops but can't wear them year round, what is the best way to keep them from getting like dry rot? or drying out and going bad? they of course are the rubber sole kind. thanks! Open Question: Can you Dry Polyamide fabric? (In the dryer)?I bought a new garment of clothing that is 91% Polyamide 7% Spandex 2% cotton. Can I put this in the dryer? I have never heard of the fabric and it is a stretchy material, will it ruin it? If I put it in the dryer , what will happen? If I put it in the dryer , what will happen? Open Question: What measures can I take to Clean Toys after a Lice Scare? My son was "diagnosed" with head lice yesterday, and as a result, we had all our clothes washed, all our sheets washed, and I threw away our bed pillows and am buying new ones on Friday. My son REFUSES to let go of his favorite stuffed dog, and a few other stuffed animals that were on his bed with him. What can I do with these? Can they be salvaged, or should I toss them? I can't bag them for two weeks as my son will just complain about them the entire time. 6% Best Answers - I did use the spray, but my mother and father insist on getting rid of the stuff or stuffing it in bags. There is a high incidence of head lice where I live, so the simple fix of just tossing stuff is usually done, but I don't want to throw anything away that can't be replaced. I'll just continue to use the spray as necessary, but am not really in the mood for the constant, "throw it away" argument. Thanks Drip and Mandy for your suggestions :) I'll have to take the stuffed animal away while he's asleep tonight. He was diagnosed by the school nurse yesterday so it hasn't been long yet. My son has eczema and can have dandruff, so I didn't suspect lice until his teacher took him to the school nurse. the_emrod: The pillows were old as it was, so throwing them away was the best option, this situation just made it all the more necessary. I know who he got the lice from, and am disappointed that he has to wait an entire week to go back to school. We are using RID with the comb and gel as well we the Home Spray that came with it. Oh, and just so we are clear, it's not even the actual lice that the school nurse saw, just the eggs, which my mother says can often be mistaken for dandruff. Open Question: How do I get hairspray off of an oak door?My daughter used hairspray in front of the door and I was wondering how to get it off. Open Question: I'm wanting to shampoo my carpets to give them a good clean, what would you suggest using? They are beige carpets and I have not long moved in so want to freshen them up, all I want is something I can use/do by hand, I'm not wanting to hire anything or pay for professionals as they are generally quite clean. What can I use? More Recent Articles |
