Looking to replace my washer but the dryer(as old as it is) still works just fine. • Email to a friend • Related • • Open Question: Why does my washing machine rattle and shake everytime I use it? It doesn't matter what kind of load it is, I've tried balancing it by adjusting the legs on the bottom but to no avail. I could have a full load or a light load, doesn't matter. Every time it goes into a spin cycle it shakes violently and makes squeaking noise. Sometimes it doesn't even wring excess water out of the clothes either. To stop it from doing the Cha-Cha, I've put a couple of dumbells on top of it, helps somewhat. Could a spring or something be broken in it? I dont know the whole history of the machine since it came with the house, I assume the previous owner bought it.
