Linseed oil looks good at first but then dust settles in it as it stays sticky. (My Mum wanted to ask this)

Open Question: How to re-stiffen the inner heel of my shoe?

I bought a pair of shoes and unfortunately I was given a display one that had been tried on in the shop that many times without loosening the laces that the inner heel has gone very soft and hangs down which affects the stability of the shoe and is quite annoying. How could I re-stiffen this part? would starch do it?

Open Question: What is the best vacuum for hardwood, pet hair, and pet smell?

I have hardwood flooring, two labs that shed constantly, and I always get that dog smell in my vacuum without fail. What's the best vacuum for all these issues? I used a bagless and it was messy emptying and I could not get rid of the doggy odor. Sounds like I might be better off with a bag vacuum since I really hate that doggy odor spreading in my house when I vacuum. I cough ever time. My bissel had three cleaning pieces, the bagless canister and the hepa filter. I think it's the motor air filter that keeps the smell in not the hepa. Other wise that would be an easy fix.
