Open Question: Kenmore 88042 Dryer keeps shutting off?

The unit is about a year old. It shuts off about 5 minutes into the cycle and then all of the lights on the right side of the panel (drying, cool down, wrinkle rid, clean filter, lock) are blinking. I can restart the dryer again and it continues to shut off after about 5 minutes......any ideas?

Open Question: Cleaning floor with beer! any good?

Hi, A family friend who has worked with wood for 60 years has just told me the best cleaner for wood floor (and furniture) is BEER! He said to just use neat beer as you would floor cleaner, and this will condition the wood beautifully, use pale beer/lager for light wood and stout for very dark wood. I trust him but this seems very strange, and just wanted to check if anybody had and experience doing this, or heard good results? Obviously drinking if is a better idea, but I am sure I can spare a bottle every few months :D

I have a Kenmore washing machine, and recently it's been stopping spinning whenever it reaches the "auto fluff" stage. because it stops spinning, the water in the clothes does not wring out completely. does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thank you! Oh, and it shows an error on the screen, that says "C1".

Open Question: What is best for cleaning dirty fingerprinted and scuffed up walls and baseboards?

so yeah, I have a 2 yr old, nuff said lol. Looking for the best and easiest way to clean up the walls and baseboards in several rooms. I went at it with a rag and some bleach kitchen cleaner and it worked ok, but about choked me out in the process, so looking for something more user and lung friendly that I can get easily like at walmart. Thanks!

Open Question: How do I get the smell of dog urine out of my carpet?!?!?

I have 5 dogs, 3 of which are potty trained but occasionally have accidents and the other two just go to town all over my bedroom! I usually catch them in the act and am able to immediately get out the stain and the smell. However, I sometimes don't catch them and now I don't have specific spots to concentrate on, the whole room just stinks! What can I do??
