Open Question: Will my laundry detergent leave a stain?

I was going to wash a load of laundry, so I put it in the washer and poured liquid laundry detergent all over it. Unfortunately, something came up right before I was going to start the wash, so I had to leave the laundromat immediately. So I took my clothes out and figured I would wash them later that day...but I was unable to do that. So the detergent dried and now it looks like my clothes have stains on them. They will go away once I do laundry today, right?

Open Question: How to manually vacuum your carpet?

I have wood floor apt, but my bedroom has carpet. Its not worth it to invest in a vacuum for one small room. Yet, the carpet has stuff all over it....are there any carpet brooms, or some inexpensive manual contraption to perform vacuum duties?? I might have to use a lint roller from the dollar store, that works but you'd be suprised how much stuff is there that you cant see....and it takes like 40 lint roller sheets to see results. Sounds dumb huh.

Open Question: fastest, lazy, way to clean a house?

Short version:My husbands wants our house as clean as his sis and mom but they only have the house "surface clean". Therefore he gave me permission to do it the lazy way. My husband looks up to his sister because her house is always spotlessly clean. She works, she has a 4 year old and a 1 year old to deal with and her husband doesn't help her out.(old fashioned bullshit) It's still spotless...on the outside. Her fridge is an absolute mess, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year. Her store room, her backyard are just as bad. So when my husband said he wanted the house as clean as her house(he works, I stay home with a baby) and says he wants the floors mopped every other day. I said that I'm not going to be neurotically clean. And if he wants me to mop that often I'll be mopping a clean floor for no reason. We also have a janitors mop which is hard to wring out with your hands because bleach makes my skin flake off and get raw (I'm such a baby aren't i?) and even if I have gloves the mop still gets way to much water on the floor. We're getting a Swiffer...I'll spot clean any icky spots. I pointed out that his mom and sister only clean to keep up appearances. So if he wants the house "spotless" with nothing where it shouldn't be I told him that I would promptly be throwing everything that isn't where it should be in a "****ing box" and putting that box in the closet, if something is not put away by the end of the day it goes in the "****ing box" (my affectionate nickname). Cool? Cool. It works. But only for the clutter. Bathrooms? Laundry? Kitchen? Dishes? If I worked I would have a once a week cleaning lady but he works and he agrees that it's lazy to pay someone else to clean your house. So I'm obligated to clean because he pays da bills.
