Open Question: Set-In Stains on Laminate Countertops? and more... Open Question: Set-In Stains on Laminate Countertops? My husband and I are currently renting a townhouse, and the kitchen and bathroom counter-tops have a cornflower blue laminate. Unfortunately, the people that rented before us either left pools of water on the counter-tops or they rarely cleaned, and there are very large stains that have proven to be very difficult to remove. I have tried different products ranging from Lysol Kitchen Cleanup, Pinesol, Windex, Baking Soda, and Comet. Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone have any pointers to remove these stains? I highly doubt the leasing manager will allow me to install new laminate to the counter-tops or even elect to install new counter-tops for me. Please help! I would love to have a beautiful kitchen and bathroom! Thanks in advance! Open Question: Is there a difference between a housekeeper and a maid?I clean houses for a living. Most of my clients have me do the basics in cleaning ie: Mopping, dusting, sweeping, bathrooms etc. but I have a client that has kids and I am responsible for cleaning their clothes thrown all over the floor, toys, and it takes up so much time that is supposed to be used for scouring and stuff. None of my other clients have me do this for their kids. Is this for a housekeeper or a maid? Is their a difference? Open Question: Dirty, Stained Socks!!!?First off, I would like to mention that my husbands feet rarely see daylight. I have only seen his feet in the nude when he's in the shower or at the beach. Otherwise, he is wearing socks. His socks go into bed, just out of the shower, around the house, around the yard, and of course, out to the mailbox which is down the street. The bottoms of his socks are not only filthy at the end of the day, but when I wash them the black/gray footprint ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to come out. I'm pretty sure if I soak them in bleach any more than I have in the past, they will disintegrate. Do you my friends have ANY suggestions as to how I can get this type of stain out? Thanks in advance!! (And for those of you who LOVE to state the obvious, I have tried washing them and using bleach.
