Open Question: How do you get an old blood stain out of thin mini jeans?

I've only just discovered a blood stain on my mini jeans just then. They're my favourite pair and i lost them ages ago, but now i found them. It's really fine material and this blood stain i found won't come off! I've tried running it under water and using a scrubbing brush and soap, but it doesn't help a bit. Please help!!

Open Question: Homemade Laundry Detergent? Any body make their own? Does it work?

This is the recipe I have Cups - hot tap water 1 Fels-Naptha soap bar 1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda* ½ Cup Borax ... See More - Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted. -Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken. -Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel) -Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil. Any body ever made their own? I have 2 kids that make it their mission in life to get dirty, will the home made stuff work as well as the store bought?

Open Question: Washing machine versus landlord?

My washing machine has been reported broken since beginning of march. My landlord keeps on telling me that he's waiting for 'summer sales' to buy a new one as he doesn't have money for the moment. I don't know what should I do or what are my rights in this case. I can be patient but it's been for more than a month now and I'm fed up to run to do my laundry and I don't want to be on war with him either. Thanks for your help!
