Open Question: wondering about working for kirby?

i just answered an ad on craigslist and got hired as a kirby salesman, i googled the company and everything comes up as a scam, but my office and expierence so far through training has been very nice, i asked my manager about the door to door sales and he said he would never have us do door to door sales, all our appointments are booked from the phone from references we get. the people are offered a free carpet cleaning and shampooing with a demo of the sentria. i filled out a 1099 form and other personal data sheets. he told us how everything worked and that we were working for ourselves through the distributing company and as long as we complete the 15 demos a week we get the 475 salary, if not we get nothing. and clearly explained our pay as no sales and 15 demos is 475, and when you sell the kirby you can make commision...the first 4 you make anything over 1200(sell for 1600 you make 400) and after you sell five you make anything over like 1100 and so on. he made it clear that you dont make the 475 if you do 14 appts and if your commisions are over the 475 you only make the commision not the commision plus the 475. i was just wondering if this may actually be legit, my manager seems like a really decent guy, no door to door sales, we will be going out with the managers watching them perform demos before we go out by ourselves, the company said the have telemarketers to help book our apts if we didnt get enough referals to meet 15 and if we were desperate to make a apt to meet the 15 in a rare case a manager would go to a door and ask to perform a demo so we wouldnt feel uncomfortable. the job seems really legit and the salesmen and managers there dont seem like the kind that would force anyone to buy, during training i asked if someone didnt want to watch the demo and just wanted the carpet cleaned what to do and he said hand him the price sheet say your in good hands im the worst salesman in the office clean and shampoo lay the dirt out so he sees how much the kirby picked up and what the old vac left behing and move on the another apt, i was just wondering if there were anyone else working for kirby that has had a good expeirence, and actually makes good money because all ive found was scam scam scam.

Open Question: Mildew in Sun Dried Clothing?

Ok well our room floods really badly when it rains, and we'd have to use our own clothes to stop up the water. After the rain stops we'd hang our clothes out in the sun to dry since where we live there is no washer and dryer and there is too much clothes to carry to the laundry mat (no one would drive us either). Many of the clothes are black shirts, there are some whites and lights in the pile too. Now we are moving to another place, with a washer and dryer, but now on the lighter clothes I see big brown stains from the mildew, so what can I do to efficiently clean the clothes? We are probably going to buy a cheaper laundry detergent since we are on a tight budget, but is there something extra we can buy to get rid of the mildew for the soiled clothing?

Open Question: I found a bed bug!! HELP?

I found one lonely little bed bug crawling on my pillow around 9 am the other morning, The light had been on in my room for over an hour and the sun was shining brightly through the window! Don't bed bugs hate light? I have not suffered from any bites, well I haven't felt or seen any bites. I searched all over my bed, under the mattress, all the folds of the bed and sheets and I did not find anything, no bugs, no blood spots, and no shell casings. Could this be the only bug or are there probably more I just can't find? I am 99.9% positive this was a bed bug, my sister had them about a year ago and she said it was one as well. Should I be worried? Has anyone else suffered this? I cleaned my room and I put the bug in a sealed bag in the freezer in case I start getting bites or see other signs. I don't want to have to spend money on an exterminator if I don't have to, however, I will pay whatever it takes if I see anymore signs!!
