Open Question: Best toilet cleaner in your opinion? and more... Open Question: Best toilet cleaner in your opinion? What in your opinion, is the best toilet cleaner? Because, frankly, ours sucks. After I pick up my check from work today, I'm planning on heading to the grocery store and picking up some toilet cleaner while I'm there. Any suggestions? Open Question: Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X Clean Shot will not let water out from tank... its not clogged.. what could be wrong?water comes out of hose with attachment and also the clean shot sprayer.. Open Question: does anyone know how long marigold bathroom gloves are?Open Question: How to repair, or clean cast iron pans?I have a few older cast iron pans that were given to me. They have rust inside the bottom of the pan. How do I get rid of the rust and season properly? Open Question: Can you (machine) wash Ikea PS LÖMSK chair covers? We have two of the Ikea egg-shaped swivel chairs as seen here PS LÖMSK http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40100253 Despite our best efforts of wiping the covers with a cloth, they are starting to look a little grubby, espeically as we have the white ones (white cover/blue chair). I ask because the part with the cover on came ready assembled and I do actually wonder if it even can be removed without destroying it anyway? Has anyone else got experience with this, and tried to take off the covers and been able to wash them successfully? Open Question: Ways to get mildew smell out of towels without chlorine bleach?Just washing them doesn't seem to do it for me. They smell fresh, but the instant they get wet from me drying off, they smell like mildew again. From what I've seen, the only way to really alleviate the smell is with chlorine bleach, but I don't know if it's possible to use it on colored items (all my towels are colored) without it bleaching the color out. What other alternatives are there? lol Open Question: Removing scent from wood paneled walls & wood cabinets.?I need help getting the scent of heavy spices, rotted food, and rotted trash from wood paneled walls & wood cabinets. I have used a sponge and a sponge mop with a solution of bleach or a solution of Fabuloso to clean the wood paneling and interior and exterior of the cabinets. It lasts for about a week and then the scent comes back, so I need something better. The scent hangs onto things, the telephone book placed on a counter, a cleaning cloth, and paper towels. Does anyone have a better idea for a cleaning solution? Open Question: Dishwasher vs Hand washing: A Roommate Battle (Please help!)?I have a roommate who refuses to see reason. She doesn't believe me that hand washing silverware and cups does not kill bacteria. She insists that the hand soap she uses is disinfecting (and no where on the bottle does it claim this). I use the dishwasher for everything, I rinse food first, but I feel it is more time, energy, and water efficient, as well as it's ability to kill of germs because of the high heat and tougher soap (and I use ECO-friendly soap!) She get's mad at me for using the dishwasher and I get mad at her for not using it. I can't just refuse to eat with the silverware, because we share most of it. I don't have a problem with hand washing dishes, because as long we aren't licking them they are generally just dirty with foodstuff. I am trying to make a logical argument for her to understand, but nothing goes through and she gets all defensive and locks her door. Any suggestions on how to get through to her? She's 23 and stubborn as a mule. Please don't tell me to get over it, I'm only stressed because she doesn't listen to logic. #1. She doesn't use hot water because our water doesn't get very hot. #2. She puts up the notes first, and I know my issues with her go beyond this one thing. She attacks first, and I don't know how to defend myself against someone who is so angry about my use of the dishwasher. #3. In the older days, people used bleach and harder chemicals and actually cleaned things. #4. She's the germophobe. She puts up notes about how we have to put the dishes on the disinfected counter before we wash them, and how we have to put the cups on towels in the cupboard because dust can get into them.
