Open Question: Ruined faux fur rug, can it be fixed?

I bought my boyfriend a white faux fur rug for his room and it said it was machine washable so when it started to look dirty I washed it (on the cold cycle) and now it isn't as soft and it is a little matted in some places and it "sheds" more than it used to. Did I ruin it or is there something I can do to make it back to the way it was before I washed it?

Open Question: How effective is fabric dye?

I just bought a wrap dress on ebay but on closer inspection it appears to be a horrible pattern.... I think it is just made of stretchy cotton mix. am thinking of purchasing some black clothes dye (machine) - just wondering if anyone has had any success with this? and whether you have any tips for me? i have tried it before on jeans and it made them a really obvious unnatural colour....

Open Question: I found small brown worms in my clothing and bedding....what are they?

I keep finding these small brown worms, the length of a fingernail tip. I find them in my clothes and sometimes on my bed. I think they get onto the bed from the clothes though. I also found one crawling on top of my snow boots. One day I woke up and went to the bathroom and found one crawling on my thigh but this one was darker, almost black. Good thing bugs dont scare me because otherwise i would have had a heart attack. Just now I picked up a towel from the floor and two dead and hardened ones fell out onto the bed and one live baby one. My apartment is in an old building with carpet but its clean. I vaccum once a week. I have a lot of my clothing on the floor though I move it about every other day or so. Its my style of organization lol...I like my clothes on the floor. I havent found any shells. I have also found two larger, round black bugs but I have only seen them twice (also fell out of clothing). So what are these? I googled it and none of the suggestions look like them i.e. mealy bug, silverfish, carpet beetle Also how do I get rid of them? I cant wash all of my clothes in a machine because they will shrink or get ruined.

ok, so I have hunter green carpets and my dog kept peeing in this one spot, I got them professionally steamed cleaned (truck mounted) and lifted the carpet and replaced the padding but I can still smell the urine, is there anything else I can use to absorbe the odor? maybe baking soda ????
