Open Question: Why would bleach turn something white yellow? And can it be fixed? If so, how?

I had a stain on a white garment, so I used bleach to remove it. I had done this before and it worked, but this time, the section I had poured the bleach on turned yellow. Do you know what might have caused this and, more importantly, how to make it white again?

Open Question: My Kenmore 90 plus dryer will run during more dry cycle for a few mins then shut off?

It will stay off for 5-15 min then resume the cycle for 30 sec to 3 min. When i switch it to timed dry it will run the whole cycle? i have checked the exhaust and it seems clear ( the house side and the dryer) There is a faint smell of burning, but really faint. Any clues? Oh, the more dry cycle wont have time to heat anything up. but the timed dry will be heating just fine.
