I have Polypropylene absorbent pads and human hair as a material but i need more. Any suggestions? Open Question: my oven won't turn off.?I was baking some sweet potatoe at 500 degrees for about an hour. After it was done, I couldn't get the off button to work. All the other buttons on there made a regular beeping sound, except the OFF button. Though i am able to lower the temp down so the house won't get extremely hot. Any answers would be great! Thanks in advance! the potatoes were done perfectly, and it is a gas oven. I turned down the temp to 170, and the oven does not look hot red inside any more. Just the OFF button doesn't work. Not sure what type of an oven it is, becuase it is a very old oven. My hubby said the same thing, I'll ask him to unplug it. Open Question: I have a sticky situation. Can anyone assist?I live in NC and rent an apartment. I am in a lease for another 6 mths. This is sticky bc of several reasons. I moved to the property bc I was hired on as a leasing agent. The owner had a reputation for firing for no reason etc and so on so I signed a lease as a regular tenant with no discounts. Surprise...guess what....3 months in...I was fired. So I got behind 2 months on my rent and had evictions filed. The owner claimed I owed almost double the amounts that was agreed upon in my lease, insane late fees, charges for services that were supposed to be my 1st 6 mths free and so on. Anyhow, we went to court. The magistrate ended up ordering I pay ONLY 2 mths rent and vacate the property only bc he stated it was clear we didnt care for one another (the owner and I). After our court date I was given 10 days to vacate the property. During this time I asked the owner if he would accept the amount the magistrate ordered and the current month that had just begans' rent and allow me to stay. He accepted and I paid the amount ordered to the courts and current rent to him personally. Now we are in the first month since this. Finally I have found a new job and notified them that I would be paying on the 7th of the month in advance. I apologized but explained the reasoning. I submitted all but $14 of the monthly amount I pay for rent + services (sattelite tv, internet, garage etc) and the $38 late fee they claim I owe. I got an email stating that the $700 I submitted could not be accepted and that they could not wait 7 days on the additional $53.00 or would file evictions. My questions are this: 1. Can I be evicted for this amt being that $14 of it is for the additional services (my rent is only $600) and the $38 late fee since I have proof of the money order and email stating not accepting etc AND In my lease I signed up for the first 6mths free for services but never understood the internet, direct tv and garage to be a mandatory thing afte this time frame. The ONLY reason I went for the garage to begin with is because it was FREE and because parking was a huge issue due to the owner renting the place out to young college kids!! Please help! I know this is sticky but should I just give up and get my $700 and tell them to forget it, say fine take me to court over $53 being now 7 days late or use the last $80 I have until my paycheck in a week to make them happy?!
