High school chemistry taught this: Acid + Base ---> Salt + Water So, here is the chemical reaction: NaHCO3 (aq) + CH3COOH (aq) ----> CH3COONa (aq) + + H2O (l) + CO2 (g) (Baking sode) + (Viegar) ----> (Salt sodium acetate) + (Water) + (Carbon di oxide) So, what part of this chemical reaction actually cleans the drains? I know it works well because I use it in my home but was wondering if someone who understands chemistry can explain CLEARLY without any guess work. Open Question: Lost bet on the eagles. Now I have to dress like a girl. What are you going to make me wear?I was confident that the Eagles were going to destroy the Cowboys Sunday. Any of you NFL fans know this wasn't the case. I sadly was overly confident and bet my friend. If I won she was going to cook me dinner for a week because she hates cooking. If I lost she said I was going to be a woman for a day.
