Open Question: How can I repair a waterproof jacket?

My husband has torn the sleeve on his new jacket. The tear has got tidy edges but because of the type of fabric, waterproof, I cannot stitch it. I have looked at sites that say they can repair the rip but they want to charge way too much. Any ideas of the best way to seal the tear? Thanks for answering - Just discovered Tenacious Tape, clear and apparently very strong used for awnings, tents & clothes going to order some.

Open Question: Name of rubbery spray substance for fabric?

My husband commutes via motorcycle to work. Due to intense cold he has a subzero suit that he wears. The seat of the jumpsuit is slippery which causes him to slide around on the seat if he applies the brake rapidly. He was told about a spray that can be applied that keeps it from doing that. Anyone have any idea what it is? I'm assuming its sold at a fabric store. This substance is added to the fabric of the suit, not the seat of the bike.
