Open Question: Machine washing a "dry clean only" jacket?

I have a Guess Peacoat, that needs cleaned. The shell is: 58% Wool 37% Rayon 3% Nylon and 2% Acrylic. The lining is 100% Polyester. If I washed it in warm water, and then let it hang dry, would that be okay? I bought the Dryell kit, and it did not work. Suggestions?

Open Question: how did i get rid of the Grease Residue that seems to have baked onto Pyrex?

After multiple uses of my pyrex dishes and sometimes cookie sheet it develops a residue on the edges. I am assuming it is baked grease from cooking spray. I try very hard to clean them with dish concentrate (palmolive) and the heavy cycle in the dishwasher to no avail. How can I keep them looking nice and new without having to just go out and buy a new one???
