I have improved slightly over the past few years so that my home isn't condemnable but is still pretty gross to tell you the truth. I throw things out when it gets cluttered which happens constantly because I live in a glorified shoebox with a husband and three children. I seem to have no luck mopping my Kitchen floor. We live in a rental with cheap linoleum that is porous and really grabs stains and spills. When I mop all I do is slide over sticky spills and push around dog hair and I hate it: I am so sick of the dog hair but the kids love him so he stays. Our carpet was BRAND NEW a year ago, I have everyone take off their shoes at the door but out carpet never stays looking new for long and the landlord is mad and I am at a loss. I shampoo it once a month with a vinegar rinse but it is still old looking. The laundry is a giant ball on top of the table in the laundry room- Gack! How do I make my time more efficient and take care of all of this so I can have some piece of mind? I would really like some serious answers because lately I have just felt so disgusted and depressed about it :( I hide at the computer and pretend that it isn't looming ready to devour and start some sort of subspecies. Any helpful advice would be great. Help would be greatly appreciated! That's interesting about letting the water fill up a bit prior to adding the detergent and clothes!
