Open Question: How can I remove an oil stain from my dry clean only jacket?I got oil on my jacket while cooking a couple days ago and I've been kind of embarrassed to wear my jacket out in public. Oh and also I have a charcoal smudge from my art class. I'm kind of a messy person. haha My jacket's 98% cotton and 2% spandex. I've tried a couple stain removers and they do not work. Can anyone help me figure out how to remove these stains please? Here's a pic: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/ForeverMentallyBlonde/rahh123-1.jpg My camera didn't do a great job at capturing the stains and it's much more noticeable in fluorescent lighting but the darker smudge is charcoal and the stain towards the hemming is oil. Open Question: Bamboo window shades have mold on them, can I clean them with Bleach? My mom has bamboo window shades in her room...and not the kind that open and close, like regular blinds, they're the ones that roll up...anyways, I guess her window was wet and the shades got wet, and now there's mold on them...is there anyway to clean them with Bleach or something, just until we can get some new ones? She has curtains up, but they're see through and I don't want her to go without the shades. Thanks in advance! Open Question: How do you get rid of fruit flies? Don't get me wrong, i've tried almost everything,...?...and i'm not a dirty person at all. There's no food out, and everything is clean. They keep coming back!!! Open Question: Can anyone tell me if febreze reed diffusers are any good?Open Question: Do sanitizing wipes really work?Like the ones at the grocery store for sanitizing carts, or the Clorox ones I use in my home that say they kill 99.9% of germs. My husband claims that they do nothing, because the surface has to remain wet for FIVE MINUTES or the things are worthless. Who's going to stand around at the grocery store rewetting the cart for five minutes? Is this really true? If you can find any kind of actual info on it, I would love to see it. Old wax is chipping off the tile floors and the tile underneath the wax appears to be unglazed. I'm afraid I'll take the aged look away if I strip the wax, but I can't get a smooth application of Johnson's Plaza with little pieces of wax flecking off. More Recent Articles
